Managed Care Assistant Home Care

 VNA Care is seeking Managed Care Assistants for our Southborough location. Easy access to 495!

Managed Care Assistant

Position Summary: Reporting to the Managed Care Supervisor the Managed Care Assistant will be responsible for all initial and ongoing authorizations of services as required by payers in order to ensure payment for services.

Responsibilities:

Obtains authorization for home care services from select payers online, by telephone or fax per company requirements.

Maintains accurate filing systems and utilizes Microsoft applications to organize and store documents.

Acts as liaison between the clinicians and the Utilization Review/Medical Management departments at insurance companies. 

Works with team to problem solve and create efficient processes. 

Education:

High School Graduate or GED required, Associate's Degree preferred. 

Experience:

Computer literacy with MS Office software.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Minimum one year of clerical and data entry experience. 

Previous experience with managed care, insurances, billing and/or home care.

Excellent communication and time management skills. 

 Position is located in Southborough, MA. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
