RN/Resident Service Director - Assisted Living

Status : Full-time

Office Location: Marlborough, MA


RN Resident Service Director for beautiful Assisted Living Community in Marlborough, MA.

In this role, you will be responsible for care coordination and service planning of the Assisted Living resident population and oversight of on-site VNA Care Advantage staff including recruiting, scheduling, education, training and management.  The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and understands this is a 24/7 365 day per year operation.  The position requires a Registered Nurse who brings leadership skills, management experience, business operations, customer service, reporting/metrics, billing, EMR, recruiting/retention, training/orientation and communication experience. You will oversee day to day business operations to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident and family satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results. This position reports to the Associate Medical Director, VNA Care Specialty Services. 


With the employees and residents in mind, the right candidate will have:


=         Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing or related health field required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience highly preferred. Licensed to practice in MA.


=         Demonstrated, successful operations experience specific to independent, assisted living, long term care communities or related fields.


=         Minimum 5 years nursing experience preferably in Geriatric nursing and a background in transitional care and/or case management.


=         Knowledge of EOEA documentation and care delivery standards, regulations and compliance.


=         Two plus years management experience in similar environment.


=         Strong proficiency in MS Office products, internet and industry specific software programs for service plan sales/marketing, payroll, and billing.


=         Demonstrated ability to inspire, lead and develop staff.


=         Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.


=         Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks.


=         Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and a functional level.


=         Outstanding communication and customer service skills required.


=         Occasional travel to other VNA Care offices.
