We are a 10-bed home designed from the ground up, specifically for hospice residency. Our clinical staff and volunteers provide medical, emotional, practical and spiritual care for the terminally-ill individuals of all ages and care needs. CNA hours: 7AM-3:30PM, per diemHospice CNA Position Summary:Our CNAs provide personal care and light housekeeping for patients under the direction of a licensed clinician.CNAs follow an established Plan of Care following standard precautionsDocumentation of care provided in a timely mannerCarries out duties and responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies excellent customer service in a caring and professional wayMaintains strict confidentiality of patient/family/caregiver information at all timesRequirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredCurrent Massachusetts CNA certification requiredUnderstands, and has experience with, the process of end of life careSuccessful completion of the required training program which includes a minimum of 75 hours training, competency testing, written skills and 12 hours in-service per year (pro-rated the first year.Ability to make observations of changes in a patient’s status.Ability to reach and write English and document in a medical chartUnderstanding of and commitment to the Hospice philosophyAbility to work with a variety of people and as a member of a team About VNA Care: VNA Care is one of the Commonwealth's largest home health and hospice providers, serving more than 200 communities in Eastern and Central Massachusetts.
